Prayer. Fasting. Manifesting.
What are they? Are they the same? How can I do it?
I'm discussing both of these practices on the podcast today and how they've helped me in the past and how I plan to pursue them in the future!

Back with another segment of Hey Girl! and this week I'm chatting it up with my friend Kiana Bryant.
This woman does it all and still finds time to take a few naps throughout the week! We're talking about her job as an IT analyst, how she turned her love of cooking into a thriving business, and what she hopes to see change in America over the next four years under a new administration on this week's episode.
You can reach out to Kiana about all your dining and meal prepping needs on Instagram @_msconfident. Kiana also has a food blog over on Facebook (Facebook.com/Oneplateatatime1) as well.

What a week, what a weekend! Does anyone else feel like they can actually breathe again?! Is the sun shining a bit brighter?! Are you humming a little tun to yourself?! Of course you are - because we just elected a NEW PRESIDENT, Y'ALL!
On this week's episode, I'm sharing how I handled this year's presidential election, who I am most proud of, and the hopes I have as we begin the process of moving towards the new normal.
Congrats to the new President-Elect and Madame Vice President-Elect!

Welcome back to another episode of the podcast!
This week's episode was suggested by a sweet friend of mine and is centered around self-love. We're all super aware of self-care but do we do enough to ensure we fully love ourselves? I don't know...
After swiftly googling around way past my bedtime last night, I came across a quote that got my wheels turning and inspired some of the content of today's episode.
Enjoy!

Starting something new on the podcast - a little segment I like to call, "Hey, girl!". I'll be talking to all my closest girl friends about how they navigate everyday life, the special projects they're working on, the numerous businesses they own, and what they do in their free time. It's the quaint essential "girl talk" if you ask me.
Today's episode is featuring Amber Patterson of Amber Jantel Creative. She's sharing how she landed a job during a global pandemic, is building her own creative business, and her love of red wine!

In this week's episode I'm sharing why I am taking an extended break from the social media platform, Instagram. And by extended, I mean more than just a week - I'm thinking probably the rest of the year...
Social media has done so much good for us - it allows us to communicate with those who are far away, we have the change to engage and rally around causes, and we even get to share a sliver of our personal lives. But sometimes, the good seems to be outweighed by the "bad". Think, comparison issues, growing insecurities, lurking, and even social media addiction.
These are all my own personal opinions and reasons as to why I feel it's best for me to step away from the platform for a while.

SHE'S FINALLY HERE - the final episode in my #SeptemberPodcastChallenge! I have had such a wonderful time recording and uploading new episodes each Monday of this month and can't wait to make this a regular thing. I'm sharing my thoughts on the challenge trend, how to get the most out of challenging yourself, and what made me interested in even doing this at all.

Still going strong in my #SeptemberChallenge and uploading a new episode! This episode is all about life as a formerly furloughed worker and now living life completely unemployed. Unemployment isn't always the easiest to talk about and can have a negative stigma attached to it. But I'm here to set a few things straight for you!
Enjoy this week's episode and be sure to subscribe to the podcast so you never miss an episode!
