In Alma 6, we see Alma establish order in the Church, call priests and elders to watch over the people, and remind us that the word of God is available to ALL. We also talk about the incredible power of fasting and mighty prayer—not just for ourselves, but for the people we love who may not yet know God.

And because this chapter is short, I'm sharing something extra special at the end—my son Elder Campbell's missionary farewell talk before leaving to serve in the New Zealand Wellington Mission. ❤️

Lets study Alma 6, and talk about caring for one another, fasting with purpose, praying for others, and helping bring souls to Jesus Christ.

Alma 5 is FULL of questions that honestly made me stop and look at my own life. Have you experienced a mighty change of heart? Can people see the image of Christ in you? And if you were called home tomorrow…would you be ready to meet God? We're talking about repentance, being spiritually born again, using the Atonement of Jesus Christ DAILY, recognizing the voice of the Good Shepherd, and what the "fruit" of our lives says about who we are really following. But one of my biggest AHA moments comes in Alma 5:46 when Alma tells us HOW he gained his own testimony—he fasted and prayed for MANY DAYS. This verse is FIRE! If you are searching for truth, revelation, answers from God, or direction in your life, Alma gives us a powerful pattern for receiving personal revelation. I also share a very personal experience of fasting for two days while my husband was paralyzed in the hospital and what that experience taught me about the power of fasting and prayer. Alma 5 is ultimately a wake-up call: Jesus Christ can change our hearts, wash us clean, and bring us home—but are we choosing to follow Him?

What happens when pride starts creeping into the Church? In Alma 4, the Nephites go from humility and thousands of baptisms to costly apparel, riches, contention, inequality, and pride—and their behavior actually becomes a stumbling block to others. We'll talk about separating the perfect gospel of Jesus Christ from imperfect people, where our testimony is truly anchored, and why Alma ultimately gives up political power to focus on something even more powerful: the word of God and pure testimony. Join me as we study Alma 4 in the Book of Mormon and look for the message God may have for us today.

In this episode of Another Testament of Jesus Christ Podcast, we're studying Alma 3 in the Book of Mormon and looking at the aftermath of the terrible war between the Nephites, Lamanites, and Amlicites.

One of the biggest themes in Alma 3 is the idea of a mark—the Amlicites deliberately mark their foreheads to show who they have chosen to follow. We'll talk about the difference between the mark and the curse in the Book of Mormon, why the Amlicites marked themselves, and how outward symbols can represent something much deeper about our identity and allegiance. I also share some thoughts about Native American face paint and the different ways markings have been used to represent identity, belonging, protection, remembrance, and preparation for battle.

But the question that really stayed with me was: What do we choose to mark ourselves with? Who do our choices show that we are following?

That question led me to think about missionaries who willingly put the name of Jesus Christ on their chest every day. So at the end of this episode, I sit down with my daughter, Sister Tacoma Campbell, who is serving in the Philippines Lipa Mission. We talk about what it means to carry the Savior's name, finding strength when God asks us to do hard things, the power of change through Jesus Christ, and what the people of the Philippines have taught her about faith.

Alma 3 is ultimately a chapter about agency. We choose who we follow, which voices we listen to, and little by little those choices shape who we become.

Come study Alma Chapter 3 with me as we talk about the Book of Mormon, agency, identity, missionary work, and what it really means to choose Jesus Christ.

This chapter is intense. Amlici wants to become king, the voice of the people rejects him, and what begins as political contention quickly turns into a massive war. Thousands of people lose their lives, the Nephites find themselves fighting for their homes and families, and Alma comes face-to-face with Amlici in battle.

But what I love most about this chapter is what happens when the Nephites realize they cannot do this alone. They cry out to God, and He strengthens them in the middle of their battle. Alma doesn't ask the Lord simply to save his life—he asks to be an instrument in God's hands to save his people.

We'll talk about Amlici, Alma's prayer, fighting for freedom, the wild beasts in the wilderness of Hermounts, and what this chapter teaches us about the incredible power of God.

Whatever battle you may be facing right now, I hope Alma 2 reminds you that God may not always remove the battle—but He can strengthen you to walk right through it.

In this episode, we're diving into Alma 1 from the Book of Mormon. We'll meet Nehor, who introduced priestcraft and false teachings, promising everyone salvation no matter how they lived. But one man stood up to him: Gideon, a quiet hero who defended truth until the very end.

We'll talk about what priestcraft actually is, why it's dangerous, and how teachings like "just do what feels good" and "success equals money" still lead people away from Christ today. This chapter feels surprisingly modern.

We'll also look at how the Nephites prospered when they stayed humble, served each other, and followed Christ. It's a reminder that real happiness and prosperity come through righteous living.

In this episode, we'll dive into Mosiah chapter 29 from the Book of Mormon, where we explore a major shift in Nephite government—from kings to judges—and what it teaches us about righteous leadership, personal accountability, and the power of agency.

We'll discuss how the people recognized the selfless service of King Mosiah, how this chapter parallels principles of democracy and freedom we value today, and why this message is especially meaningful during 4th of July celebrations.

We'll also reflect on how spiritual freedom and God's plan of agency allow us to truly come to know Him.

This chapter marks a pivotal moment in Alma's repentance and highlights his newfound mission to spread the gospel. After the chapter, I'll be interviewing my husband, Aaron Campbell, and talking about a very personal and sacred experience for us. Aaron's battle with Guillain-Barré Syndrome—a condition that, much like Alma's experience, left him temporarily paralyzed and unable to move. His story offers some pretty profound parallels. Through this lens, we'll examine both Alma's miraculous recovery and the spiritual insights we gained during our own extremely difficult trial.

In this episode, we dive into Mosiah chapter 26 and uncover the challenges faced by Alma as he deals with a generation that has turned away from their faith. We'll explore the gripping story of how Alma seeks divine guidance to handle this crisis and the dramatic consequences that follow.
