Today, I am here in conversation with Aaradhya Tiwari, a brilliant writer and a poet with such an inspirational and beautifully creative imagination, she has written more than 150 stories so far – each one being a unique gem – at such an early age. She is one of the sweetest and most generous mentors I have ever had, she organized a 4-weeks program wherein the participants not only had the front row seat to her magic but she also helped them bring out the magic within themselves and weave their own stories – it was truly a one-of-a-kind experience. She is also an amazing friend of mine.

To get to know someone closely, building a compassionate and generous connection, is done so beautifully through sharing stories. This was the notion, so beautifully nurtured by Mrs. Indu Punj, founder of a brilliant initiative - "Stories Matter" - that, through stories, aims towards enhancing the lives of our children, by making them more empathetic towards the world as well as themselves, by breaking stereotypes, emphasizing self-regulation, self-acceptance and gender sensitivity. She has conducted many interesting workshops, such as on compassion, emotional intelligence in children, counselling session with parents, teacher training for special children, etc. Having over 20 years of experience with students of various schools, she ventured on further reaching out to people, putting her knowledge and expertise to good use and gaining new insights. As a psychologist, she connected and empathized better with people, by so dedicatedly, nurturing the notion of storytelling; as she so rightly puts it, “each story matters”.

There is always some entity, some power, very subtle though, that is there around us whenever we are in distress or going through difficulties. That subtle power, against all the forces pulling us down, tries to give us the strength to triumph through the situation. Most of us, unfortunately, give in to those difficulties by unheeding that subtle voice.

It's the ones behind the article itself, that we neglect. Writers are the ones who are responsible for you being hooked on to those content and without whom, none of such enterprises would operate.

Most of us are on the path that is either societally approved or appreciated, or simply because along the way, we lost touch with the zesty dreams we used to have about our careers, and ended up going with the safer options. Truth be told, I myself am struggling with this dilemma, but I consciously believe that this cycle needs to break.

It is true that as and when we grow up, we diminish the creative light within us all. Once as children we were all so curious and fearlessly inquisitive about everything, but most of us developed a sheepish approach to numerous things as we grew up. Our creative and curious side brings forth such interesting aspects and colors to our lives that we never could fathom, so, let us not diminish this light and try to be more in touch with our inner child.

I have been writing poems on a daily basis, based on various things close to my heart. So, I decided to make a podcast episode on one of my poems, wherein I shall be reciting that poem. The poem I chose for today's podcast is "A Walk through the Wild". The wild, I refer to the toxic side of society, and through my poem, I have tried to reflect that side.
