About Will Long:

Will retired from the FBI after 25 years of service in June of 2014. He has extensive experience investigating complex criminal and security matters. During his career, Will specialized in the investigation of violent crimes, narcotics, and domestic terrorism/violent extremist groups.

He has extensive trial experience in both state and federal court, including death penalty litigation. Will developed specific expertise in the development human intelligence sources, with a focus on long term, undercover investigations to infiltrate criminal organizations and violent extremist movements.

At the time of retirement, Will was assigned to the FBI's Joint Terrorism Task Force in the greater Spokane, Washington area. In addition to his duties as a Special Agent, Will served for over 22 years in the FBI Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) program as an operator, team leader, and trainer. He led, planned, and conducted hundreds of sensitive tactical and protective operations nationally and overseas. He is a seasoned firearms and tactical instructor, having taught thousands of students.  He has led FBI SWAT and firearms training programs, and developed customized training courses for numerous law enforcement agencies.  Will served two FBI deployments to Afghanistan in support of ongoing counter-terrorism operations.

In 2006, he was assigned as an embedded advisor to United States Special Operations Forces in Eastern Afghanistan. In 2011, he was assigned as an advisor to the Afghan National Police/National Directorate of Security Kidnapping Investigation Unit. Will's specialized training includes advanced interview and interrogation techniques, advanced firearms skills, personnel recovery, kidnapping countermeasures, safe travel, survival/escape/evasion, and protective advances, details, and operations.

About Rod Gates:

After high school I went into operating heavy equipment building highways. Did that for a few years and then decided to pursue and career in Law Enforcement.

Spent approximately 8 years with the Sheridan Wyoming Police Department. While There served in various capacities including Patrol, DARE, Detectives and SWAT.

I then moved to Idaho and spent approximately 3 years with the Cassia County Sheriff's office. There I worked as an Investigator doing general investigations and then was assigned to a drug investigation team.

Moved back to Wyoming and worked for the Sheridan County Sheriff's office where I served as a patrol Deputy for about 2 years.

I left Law enforcement and went into the Oil and Gas industry for approximately 9 years. Where I worked in Wyoming,  Louisiana, Texas and Montana.

For the last 2 years I have been the franchise owner of The Gun Cleaners of Spring, Texas. I am now also a co-owner of The Gun Cleaners LLC.

Mel, the founder of Sniper Central, was a sniper team leader for Co C. 1-163rd InBn(M) for about 4 years, based in Missoula Montana. The callsign for his Sniper Team for that entire duration was Blackbird 66. These times were immensely enjoyable and a great learning experience where he had the opportunity to go through and graduate the US Army Sniper school at Ft. Benning GA as well as attend and graduate a FBI SWAT sniper school taught by a FBI HRT training team in Missoula, MT for the local Police departments. For a vast majority of that time, Spc. Witt was the other team member with Sgt. Ewing and he too was a graduate of the US Army Sniper School at Ft. Benning GA and is now a UH-60 Blackhawk Pilot.

About James Gray:

James is a 26 year veteran of the Indianapolis Metro Police Department, having spent the majority of that time on the street.  He is also an 18.5  year  member of SWAT having recently retired from the team in April of 2015.  He is currently assigned to the Firearms Range within the Training Division. Throughout his career he has been involved in numerous critical incidents including three lethal police action shootings. James is a state certified general and firearms instructor. James was also a Deputy U.S. Marshal in Washington D.C. for two years prior to IMPD.  He has attended numerous schools including firearms, explosive breaching, SWAT, and executive protection. James has a B.S. degree from Indiana University.  He is travelling around the country speaking on Officer Involved Shootings for Dolan Consulting Group and will be a presenter at the 2017 I.A.C.P in Philadelphia.  He was recently interviewed by Brian Willis of the Excellence in Training Academy.

About Chance Paris:

I, Chance Paris, was born and raised in the great state of Texas.  I currently reside in Pampa, which is a small town in the Texas panhandle.   I went to college at Southwestern Oklahoma State University.  Received a Bachelors of Science in Park Law enforcement and a minor in Wildland Fire Management.  During the early years of college I worked in the oil field to pay my way through college.   My junior year of college I was approached and asked if I would be interested in being a wildland firefighter.  At that very moment I had no idea what a wildland firefighter did, but it sounded like an adrenaline rush.  I enrolled in my first wildland class and fell in love with everything that came with being a wildland firefighter.  I worked for the BIA throughout the rest of college.  Then I accepted a position in Tucson AZ working for the Sagurao Fire Use Module.  I worked there for roughly 3 years and then took a position on the Coronado National forest in AZ.   I worked there for 2 years before taking a position back home for the National Park Service.  I have fought wildfires in almost every state of the United States.   I loved the brotherhood, it was something that is hard to replicate outside of fire.  There was just something about knowing that you were doing something for the greater good and not just yourself.  I met my wife in late 2012 and just a few days later I was on an assignment to NYC for superstorm Sandy.  From that point I had to choose what was the most important thing in my life.  In September 18, 2013 I took a job working for an oil and gas company.  By taking this job I was able to enjoy the small things in life that I had missed out on the last 10 years.  I was able to focus on my family, faith, and the future.
