God promises good things for us but we need to remember those promises because we are so prone forget. In the text today we witness people determining good things for themselves and not listening to the promises of God.

Abram and Sarai are waiting for God and they are tired of waiting. They take matters into thier own hands and screw stuff up. God still uses this for his glory.

He is Risen!! He is risen indeed!

God is the God of Justice and the God of Mercy and that is good news for us because we need both justice and mercy.

The Abrahamic covenant shows the faithfulness of God and how serious He is in keeping His promises. God wants us to trust Him and bring all of our worries to Him with open hands.

God's love for His children is acted out by his blessings. Abram is blessed by God with security while sojourning in the wilderness while Lot moved into a city to find security. Where do you find your security?

God wants to be the God of imperfect people. We see this play out in the story of Abram and his family.

God calls us to make his name great across the whole earth, when we do that we are fully satisfied.

God exercises His judgement through the flood because humanity has become overwhelmingly evil. Noah and his family are saved by God's grace towards him.
