In today’s episode, we’re joined by none other than Anthony Scaramucci - perhaps better known by his infamous nickname, 'The Mooch.'

A financier, entrepreneur, and possibly the only man to turn an 11-day job into a full-scale rebrand.

A former Goldman Sachs executive and founder of SkyBridge Capital, he made headlines worldwide during his whirlwind stint as White House Communications Director under Donald Trump proving you don’t need long to become unforgettable...

Since then, he’s leaned all the way in - becoming a media regular, conference host, and outspoken voice on politics (cue being one half of Goalhanger's The Rest is Politics US), markets, and occasionally, life its very self. I was drawn to Anthony for his 'open book' demeanour (fittingly the name of one of his podcasts) and his relatability, despite coming from a completely different world.

For all the success, his feet seem firmly on the ground. He’s got that self-deprecating humour we Brits rely on, and - rare at his level - he owns his mistakes, stands by them, and then grows.

Anthony had told me he had a few secrets up his sleeve and planned to 'come in hot' on the day...he didn't disappoint. We talk childhood trauma, tough-to-swallow investing regrets, and...more importantly...how not to dwell on them.

He is, however, a media-trained pro, so I didn’t crack him quite as much as I’d hoped...but true to form, the conversation still felt open, honest, and real.
