Anti-Graying Effects of Luteolin Ep. 1228 FEB 25

Listen Later

A new study published in the journal Antioxidants investigated the effects of luteolin, a natural compound found in plants, on hair graying in mice. The researchers found that both external (topical) and internal (oral) administration of luteolin significantly reduced the number of gray hairs in the mice. The study also revealed that luteolin works by improving the signaling between cells involved in hair pigmentation, ultimately leading to a reduction in hair graying. These findings suggest that luteolin may be a promising natural treatment for hair graying in humans, although further research is needed to confirm these effects.
