Antichrist on SermonAudio

Theme: Abide in the Anointed One, since his anointing is sufficient to resist the antichrists' deception. 1. The Danger: Antichrists (2:18-19, 22-23, 26) 2. The Defense: Anointing (2:20-21, 27) 3. The Duty: Abiding (2:24-25, 28)

Practical Cases of Conscience #13 The Scripture doth everywhere, upon all such occasions, call expressly unto us for a special preparation, by the exercise of grace, in reformation and holiness: "Judgment must begin at the house of God;" and "what will be the end of them that obey not the gospel?" What, then, is our duty? Why, saith he, "Seeing that all these things shall be dissolved" (all this outward frame of things), "what manner of persons ought we to be in all holy conversation and godliness?" Brethren, we ought at all times to attend unto "all holy conversation and godliness;" but saith the apostle, "The approach of judgment is a peculiar motive thereunto; -- seeing that all these things are to be dissolved.'?"

Daniel 11:37 "Neither shall he regard the God of his fathers, nor the desire of women, nor regard any god: for he shall magnify himself above all." King James Version

The sermon emphasizes that keeping God's commandments is the definitive evidence of abiding in Christ and loving Him, countering modern theological trends that minimize the law. It argues that grace imposes stricter moral standards than the Old Testament law, particularly regarding the condition of the heart. The preacher identifies a pervasive spirit of antichrist in contemporary culture and even within churches, characterized by teachings that deny Jesus Christ's physical resurrection or contradict biblical absolutes. True discernment requires testing all spirits against Scripture rather than relying on emotional experiences or cultural norms. Ultimately, believers are called to submit to God's Word, recognizing that the new creation in Christ naturally desires obedience and truth.
