Anticipation is a source of stress. It is defined as, 'the action of anticipating something; expectation or prediction.' Here's what I see happening. We anticipate the future, predict something terrible and then expect that we won't be able to cope. It feels awful and that's the clue. The awful feeling is your system letting you know your thinking is off. Simple to avoid once you know that the source of the feeling is thought.
