More than forming our behavior, the word of God should form our hopes.

God is Judge over others, therefore I don't speak evil against others. (James 4:11-12)

God is King over my life, therefore I don't neglect him in my plans

1. Much speech requires maturity (1-2)

2. Speech is small but powerful (3-6)

3. Speech is untamable by humans (7-8)

4. Speech reveals our hearts (9-12)

Whatever venomous speech that comes out of us comes from within us. We watch out mouths to discern areas of our heart that still need to be submitted to Jesus.
