Antioch Georgetown

The witness of the shepherds shows us that no one is too bad for a Savior, and the witness of Simeon shows us that no one is too good to need a Savior. In Luke chapter 2, Simeon helps us see the meaning of Jesus’ arrival more clearly. Today, let’s explore three truths Simeon reveals about the coming of Jesus Christ—and consider how our own response to Jesus should shape the way we listen, trust, and live in light of God’s salvation.

In this episode of Growing Forward (the last one until 2026!) Pastor Andy Comer uses a powerful football analogy to explore why the Christian life is a marathon of endurance rather than a quick sprint.

By examining the Hall of Fame career of Emmitt Smith and key biblical passages, Andy offers four practical steps to help you cultivate patience and overcome opposition, regardless of the season you are in.

We pray this episode helps you move the ball “yard by yard” toward a life that truly honors God!

Luke 2 tells the greatest story ever told—the birth of a baby in Bethlehem. Yet this child was far more than a newborn; He was the promised Savior. As we walk through this passage, we’ll see how every detail of the story points to God’s purpose and reveals the mission for which Jesus came.

What happens when God steps into the life of an ordinary person, in an ordinary place, at an ordinary moment? Extraordinary things. In Luke 1, we witness the breathtaking fulfillment of a covenant spoken more than a thousand years earlier, delivered through an unexpected visit to a young woman named Mary. God announces that the long-awaited King is on His way.
