  • Show Me Your Glory

Communion with God is our birthright as sons and daughters. We were made to behold His glory and enjoy Him. Moses lived that way by boldly approaching God's presence while the Israelites stood far off in fear, trading God's glory for an idol. We embark on the study of Exodus 34:6-7 with even greater access to God's glory than Moses did.

  • The Beginning of Our Story

To set up our semester in Exodus 34:4-7, we start with a high level overview of Genesis 1 through Exodus 33. A sweep through the Bible's story arc: Creation, Rebellion, and God's response, from Adam and Eve's fall through the Flood, Babel, God's covenant promise to Abraham, and Israel's exodus from Egypt under Moses. All the while, we see God as one who wants to be with His people and who responds to their actions. We wrap up at Mount Sinai, where Israel commits to being God's people, breaks that commitment almost immediately, and Moses intercedes on their behalf.
