Happy Father's Day! This week, pastor Jimmy Seibert shared from the Psalms about being rooted in God, covenanted to family and to the Church, and bearing fruit (children, disciples, descendants) who are enabled to thrive in God. To all our men who submit to and seek the Lord, walk in repentance and receive His abundant grace, we honor you!

This week, as we continue our "Jesus, Our Great Physician" series on God's healing power in the Gospel of Matthew, Zach Daniel explored God the Father's role as a Gardener. Throughout every area of our lives, God is at work planting seeds, uprooting weeds and pruning things that have been fruitful, so that we might be even more fruitful.

This summer, we're going to be studying the Gospel of Matthew, specifically regarding relationships. We believe that God is the Great Physician and can heal all our relationships, but first, we must have a right perspective of God — that He is a Father who is present and active, who speaks identity and affection over us, affirming His love for us.

Even when we lose our faith, God remains faithful to be who He has promised to be. In Matthew 14, when Jesus walked to his disciples' boat on water, Peter asked to join Jesus on the waves. When Peter took his eyes from Jesus, his faith wavered, and he began to sink. Even though Peter's faith failed, Jesus' faithfulness did not. Jesus reached out to save Peter and did not let him drown. The same is true for us today — God will remain faithful, even when we do not.

In John 5:2-14, Jesus healed a man who had been crippled for 38 years. It wasn't too late for him, and as long as we're alive, it's never too late for us — to surrender to Jesus and be transformed by His grace, salvation and freedom. This week at church, we celebrated 128 people declaring their surrender to Jesus through baptism. Praise the Lord!

Happy Mother's Day! We were honored this Mother's Day by the presence of guest speaker Carolyn Doolittle, a mom of four who also leads our Listening Prayer Ministry. In addition to excellent practical advice for how to raise godly kids, Carolyn explored the importance of partnering with God's Truth for both our kids and ourselves. If you've been stuck in a lie from the enemy, be sure to give this message a listen!

"Dying to self is more about change than pain." This week, Pastor Vincent Carpenter taught on God's invitation of baptism. When we hear the phrase "dying to self," the enemy wants our focus to be on pain. In reality, we gain much more from dying to ourselves than we lose. Dying to ourselves is really an invitation to greater access to the Kingdom of God — to a powerful, life-giving experience that God has for us. Whether what we gain is a change of mindset, location or people, our reward of dying to self will always outweigh our costs.

This week, Senior Pastor Jimmy Seibert continued our "Battleground" series with a focus on our call as believers to witness to the world, even in the face of the enemy's attacks of spiritual warfare and deceit to try to dissuade us from sharing Jesus' love with those around us. The Church is God's "Plan A" to share His message of love, grace and rescue with the world, and it is our joy to partner with Him in this.

As we continue our "Battleground" series, Zach Daniel shared with us this week about the role of the Church in fighting against the enemy's schemes. We are not meant to solely fight defensively; we are equipped with the weapons of spiritual warfare to fight offensively and win through Jesus' victory.

As we continue our "Battleground" series on spiritual warfare and how we have complete access to Jesus' victory over all the enemy's attacks, this week we considered the importance of fighting for one of the most important areas of spiritual warfare in our day: the family.
