Only when we can answer with robust conviction and fire in our bones that Jesus is the Son of the living God, will we become part of the testimony that forms the foundation of the Church; commissioned with the redemptive mission of God until He returns to make all things new.

Through this story, we receive an invitation to come out of hiding and 'go in the strength we have' for the Lord is with us.

In Mark 8:22-26 we read of an encounter between Jesus and a blind man. This powerful story belongs to all of humanity - it is my story and it is your story. May we receive a touch from Jesus that we may see everything clearly.

Truth is a person and His name is Jesus.

In Matthew 11:28-30 we read those famous words of Jesus, 'Come to Me, all of you who are weary and burdened and I will give you rest'.

To do so is to trust Him. It's to simplify your life around the person of Jesus.

The invitation before us today is to be people that keep company with Him, and so live freely and lightly.

As David Foster Wallace explains, we all worship - the only choice we get, is what to worship. What's in your heart, what do you love and what are you worshipping?
