AOS RantCast

It's been a while since a hobby RantCast and Chat Gang has more than its fair share of greats amongst them. For episode 99 we focus on Professor Eggsavier's journey through spiders, IDK, and a couple other armies. As well as a healthy banter about History and taking care of each other.

The chillest run through of Age of Sigmar 3.0 you'll encounter on the internet. Join me, Dave, and Paul from the Mortal Realms Podcast as we meander through the new rules of AOS 3.0 in a manner only RantCast can... right after a curmudgeonly conversation about Midnight Video Game releases and Strategy Guides.

Be sure to check out Paul and the rest of the Mortal Realms crew on their site: https://www.themortalrealms.com/

Hey Chat Gang! Let's talk narrative. Nuno and Alex of Animosity Campaigns join me to plug their up coming narrative event, Animosity III but also talk more broadly about the challenges of pushing narrative Warhammer into the zeitgeist.

If you've watched RantCast for a while, you know I don't think aspects of the game are mutually exclusive and we probe that idea while also doing a rundown of the various narrative and storytelling elements that help us forge bonds and develop deeper stakes in this wonderful game we play.  Alex also goes full hot take and says narrative is more competitive than matched play!

Animosity III begins on July 14th but you can pick your coalition as early as July 1st. For full details see the Animosity Campaigns website here: https://animositycampaigns.com/

Joel G. from Measured Gaming joins me to take a deep dive on Anvil of Apotheosis ahead of the Sydney Slaughter GT. Joel, an Australian masters player, has an interesting perspective on some fun combos and implications of the Anvil's use at competitive events and he's brought a powerpoint to tell you all about it.

ATTENTION: To skip straight to the Battletome stuff see this time code: 40:58

This isn't a 'real' RantCast. The show was originally recorded on Monday, May 17th shortly after the Soulblight Battletome images were leaked to imgur. I recorded it live and impromptu on Twitch and by popular demand (ya know, like 4 people) have exported it to YouTube and the podcast apps. It was a free form banter with Chat Gang followed by the battletome review (focused mostly on allegiance abilities). For the full, unedited broadcast including the missing rant at the beginning of the show click the following link to my Twitch VODs: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/10330338...

A long overdue episode of AOS RantCast finally happens. Jacob and Joe from the Rage of Sigmar podcast join The Most Dangerous Man in Age of Sigmar for RantCast 94. Very little Warhammer is discussed. Antics ensue.

You can catch all of Joe and Jacob's antics on their own show on Podbean and several other podcast apps: https://rageofsigmar.podbean.com/

Each appears sometimes on Twitter too:

Twelve year wine and spirits professional SJ Arcade joins Meph to imagine what the blood of the various armies of the mortal realms would taste like if they were wine. A very vampiric perspective you might agree.  Several armies are discussed but this is no mere thought experiment.

Stormcast Eternals, Hedonites of Slaanesh, and Daughters of Khaine are all drank live! Chat Gang members of legal drinking age are more than welcome to pick up a bottle or two to safely join in the wine tasting from home. There may even be a surprise army tasting or two planned but more on that later.

The Wine Pairing List for each army features three tiers, a volume tier, a Kritza Rat Prince Tier for the frugal, and a higher end Noble's Tier for those willing to spend a little.

The cold open is a rant unto itself then very special guest from Chat Gang, Chaos Lord Mars aka Takeovermars, joins Mephisto to talk about the lore of Broken Realms. The conversation resets the story of Age of Sigmar's Soul Wars starting with Wrath of the Everchosen and then mentions the broad stroke implications of each Broken Realms book released from Morathi, to Teclis, to Be'Lakor in a spoilers light manner.

In this episode of AOS RantCast long time Warhammer community staple, Paul Conti, joins me to speculate about the state of Age of Sigmar and its direction in AOS 3.0. Sorry about the mental health pitch at the beginning, we actually don't make it to that portion of the show but a great discussion is still had.

You can check Paul Conti out on his own show, Radiofree Hammerhal, right here on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC_oE...
