Kumbhal's story continues in this thrilling third episode.

The lightning storm has faded but the morning light of a new day brings new challenges for the residents and guests of Kumbhal Wildlife Sanctuary. RFO Durga Bakshi enlists the help of a scientist currently stationed at Kumbhal to understand the strange lightning-struck trees peppered across the forest after last night's storm. The structures almost seem alive. Just as the scientist's assistant cuts into the bark of the affected tree to take a sample, the ground itself appears to let out a shriek of pain. On the other side of the forest, the tourists from Baghdhara face some issues on their safari, while within the premises of the rest house itself, manager Vicky Sharma receives a strange ancient diary that might just hold the key to the bungalow's past.

Kumbhal's story continues in this terrifying new episode. The lightning storm has made landfall, and our principal characters, Durga Bakshi and Vicky Singh, are dealing with it in their own ways.

An earthquake rages through the Kumbhal Forest at around 2 AM on Saturday Morning. Durga observes it from the Control Room of the Range Complex and notices some strange anomalies that are too perfect to be attributed to nature. On the other hand, Vicky hears something strange underground during the quake that prompts him to look into the history of the house. He comes across some strange records that hint at sinister happenings in the rest house centuries ago. Unnerved by this information, Vicky has a terrifying dream later that night.

Deep within the Kumbhal Wildlife Sanctuary sits a remote, heritage forest rest house called Baghdhara.

For its new manager, Vikram "Vicky" Singh, the post is a chance to right past wrongs. On the other hand, for Durga Bakshi, the sanctuary’s fiercely protective Range Forest Officer, it's just another territory to guard.

But as the weekend guests arrive, the wilderness stops behaving by the laws of nature. Tigers cower in exposed wastelands, predators charge blindly in sheer terror, and a suffocating calm smothers the forest under a bruised saffron sky as a deep electrical hum builds in the air.

In the backdrop of these strange occurrences and deviations from the norm, Vicky realises that the vivid nightmares haunting his sleep are no longer confined to his dreams. The forest is waking up, and it is coming for Baghdhara first.
