On tonight’s spotlight on disability, Anuj Vaidya interviews Arun Cherian, the founder of RiseLegs and RiseArt – a Bangalore-based company that makes low-cost high-end prosthetics out of cane, and uses the leftover materials for high-end design, sets and furniture. For Arun, however, prosthetics are not at the center of his company, people are – and he shares his holistic vision around questions of mobility and disability in this conversation.

Later in the show, Preeti Mangala Shekar converses with noted feminist disability rights activist Nidhi Goyal, around her organization Rising Flame, and the research they recently produced on how the covid pandemic has impacted disabled women and girls.
