This month’s South Asian edition turns the spotlight on the 19th annual 3rdi International South Asian Film Festival [1], happening virtually at a browser near you! Find out about this year’s fantastic line up from Ivan Jagirdar, festival co-director.

From light-hearted comedies to inspirational films and empowering political documentaries, this year’s online festival edition brings hope with films from both the shadows and the light.

 

We also feature a reflective, inspiring discussion with two brilliant Dalit feminist journalists, Christina Dhanraj [2] and Yashica Dutt [3]. Preeti Shekar discusses their reflections on Writing With Fire [4], an award winning feature documentary on a group of fierce Dalit women journalists in India who have started their own newspaper and YouTube channel, Khabar Lahariya [5].
