Stories from the Cherokee and Pacific Rim peoples are featured in the performance Ghost Festival III: Fire in Heaven. We’ll talk with award-winning story-tellers Brenda Wong Aoki and Gayle Ross – a descendent of John Ross, leader of the Cherokees during their forced removal along the Trail of Tears. The performance at Yerba Buena Center in SF is on 11/23 and also features Asian American Jazz bassist Mark Izu, June Kuramoto of Hiroshima and Cherokee flute player Tommy Wildcat .
