In our first main segment we discuss ongoing homeless camp sweeps in Knoxville and across the nation, and recently passed Proposition B, which essentially makes sleeping on sidewalks/public areas in Austin, Texas a crime.

In our second segment we discuss Tennessee and Ohio banning Critical Race Theory in public and charter schools.

activism following the death of Anthony Thompson Jr. at Austin East and a confrontation from police chief Eve Thomasn In our "C" segment we discuss anti-protesting bills aimed at discouraging protests and potentially inciting the

far right to take violent actions to prevent protestors from demonstrating.

Confrontation with police chief Eve Thomas

This weeks episode is largely focused again on police misconduct across the country. We begin with an update on Anthony Thompson Jr. with the DAG finally releasing bodycam footage. We discuss the guilty verdicts handed down on the Derek Chauvin trial

and police accountability. Following that we briefly discuss the situation with Lt. Caron Nazario and how police give conflicting commands and fail to de-escalate. In our C segment we discuss the sheer number of police killings in 2020 and 3 children killed by

police in one week time span. We end the show discussing a Tennessee bill passed by the house and senate that would require fetal remains to be buried or cremated at the expense of the clinic or individual.

In this episode we center our discussion on the homicide of Anthony Thompson Jr and the history of tragic violence of Austin-East High School and community in Knoxville. We cover the media response and police action following a series of

killings before focusing on the national attention brought to the recent shooting on Monday, April 12 resulting in the death of a student by police. After a breaking story that the officer injured by gunfire was not shot by the student, immediate public

outcry followed. After public outcry, the DAG's office is still refusing to release the bodycam footage even at the urging of the mayor and police chief.
