"The cross and the gun gives us two different versions of power " --Shane Claiborne
This week on the podcast , with heavy hearts, we unfortunately have to talk about yet another mass shooting in Uvalde, Texas. Why does these mass shootings seem to only be an American problem? How does mental health factor into these terrible tragedies? Is there anything we can actually do to stop gun violence? Lastly, have we made guns or maybe more broadly 'rights' an idol?
All this and more...

This week on the podcast we are hearing Brooke's story in her calling to ministry. How did growing up in a conservative Baptist tradition effect her views on women? Has women always been accepted in the United Methodist Church? In what ways should you interpret the controversial writings on women from the Apostle Paul? If Paul really is patriarchal, should we still follow his teachings? Lastly, what struggles do women specifically have in the pastor role?

This week on the podcast is our last one of the season. We started the tradition last year to take off for lent and come back after Easter, so we are continuing that this year. During the finale, talk about what lent sacrifices or additions we may be taking on this lent season, as well as what our thoughts of the past year have been, and what lessons we learned from the Substance Abuse series. Lastly, we go down a ton of rabbit holes and ramble quiet a bit, thus Bishop Bunny makes a dominate appearance for the finale.
We hope everyone has enjoyed the podcast over the past year, and we look forward to starting a fresh after Easter. Happy Lent/Easter and we'll be back again soon...

This week on the, yep we're still talking about Substance Abuse and also Bolling is missing but we completely forgot to mention that, podcast we have returning guest and friend of the show, Dustin Keith, on to talk about another aspect to the Substance Abuse puzzle that is near and dear to his heart, Prevention. Has raising the age limit from 18 to 21 helped with substance abuse? Is suboxone a helpful treatment for recovery? Should we be providing clean needles and clean pipes to drug users? Should Marijuana be legal?
This finale to our Substance Abuse series is a great one, you don't want to miss it!

With the recent passing of Stacy's uncle Rocky, we decided this week that we would discuss death. How do we navigate helping someone who has lost a loved one? What hope do we have when death is a certainty? Does God leave prayers unanswered? What assurances do we have for loved ones who died? Lastly, do Christians who claim to have visions or receive messages from God on miraculous healings actually do more harm than good? We hope this will help anyone who is grieving the loss of a loved one and we specifically dedicate this podcast to Stacy's uncle, Rocky Hensley.

This week on the Bolling ditched us for date night podcast, we are honored to have our good friend and returning guest Dustin Keith on to talk about the Epiphany. What is the Epiphany and why do many churches not celebrate? Are the Magi actually Kings? Was the star actually a star? What lesson's can we learn from the Wise men visit to Jesus in our divided political climate? Why does Dustin like fruitcake? Lastly and maybe most importantly, can Bolling tell us who Spider-Man is?
WHO IS SPIDER-MAN????
Answers to these questions and much more...
This is a good one folks, don't miss it!
