Jamie Collins is a Bristol, Tennessee old time and bluegrass singer-songwriter and teacher with a special gift of connecting to audiences (and her students) through her passion for passing down the traditional Appalachian music that was passed down to her. 

We discuss her family sound, the importance of passing down the tradition of bluegrass and old time to a new generation of players and her debut album, Enjoy Life.

Courtney Brown is an Assistant Professor at Southern Methodist University for the Center for Creative Computation, a Fulbright scholarship winner, coder and musician who designs  instruments and composes using a very unique medium, a dinosaur’s head. 

The  featured composition in todays episode was from the 2023 Hadrosaur Variations recorded at the New Music Edmonton’s, Now Hear This Festival. The composition was created using an older subadult Corythosaurus instrument.
