A pair of long-time Detroit sports bloggers and podcasters, Greg Eno(aka the Voice of Reason), and Big Al Beaton are The Knee Jerks! Eno and Big Al broadcast live every Monday night at 7PM Eastern on the Sports Geeks Radio Network!

Every week, the Knee Jerks will take on the latest and greatest in sports, but with a Detroit slant!

We have a pair of guests tonight. Retired MLB umpire Dave Pallone joins the Jerks to discuss the deteriorating relationship between players/managers and umpires, such as the recent battles teams have with showboating Cowboy Joe West, Angel Hernandez and crew

Also joining the Knee Jerks is new Sports Geeks Radio personality, Doug Russell. Doug was at Sporting News radio, left to take a Milwaukee morning drive slot and is now back at SN Radio as a corresponent.  Doug has joined the Sports Geeks Radio team, and will be talking to us from Phoenix, where he is covering the All Star Game.

The Knee Jerks will also be discussing the last couple of weeks of Tigers baseball, the Chris Berman show...aka the Home Run Derby, the NBA lockout, tOSU's self sanctions, and whatever else we can squeeze into what is an action packed 2 hours.

At the end of every podcast, as always, we name our respective Jerk of the Week! (which usually turns into a rant!)

Our guest this week is author Larry Underwood. His latest book is "St. Louis Cardinals IQ: The Ultimate Test of True Fandom."Larry grew up in St. Louis and has been following the Cardinals for over 50 years. He 's a retired executive who recently published a book about his 26-year career with the car rental giant, "Enterprise; Life Under the Corporate Microscope - A Maverick's Irreverent Perspective."  We'll talk to Larry about the 1968 amd 1934 post season matchups between the Detroit Tigers and St, Louis Cardinals, the Tony LaRussa - Jim Leyland connection and about writing in general.

After the interview, Eno and Big Al will spend the 2nd hour discussing the Pistons' draft, where the Red Wings' stand in the NHL's realignment plans, and the Tigers' retiring Sparky Anderson's number.
