We talk Stanley Cup playoffs which begin tonight, leading to the opening game of the Stanley Cup final series on June 3. There is increased hope that a Canada-based NHL team will hoist the Stanley Cup. That has not happened since 1993, when the Montreal Canadiens, led by their Captain Guy Carbonneau won the final series against the Los Angeles Kings 4 games to 1, after having eliminated the New York Islanders, Buffalo Sabres and Quebec Nordiques, winning 16 games and losing only 3.
