In this episode, I want to highlight the past year on the attacks on street vendors, and how that has had an impact on our communities. Although this is a local issue, anti-immigrant sentiments have led to these attacks, and also how to move forward by pursuing justice.

He talks about his journey being raised in Stockton, Ca, going to school to be a nurse, the hardships of Stockton, Ca, and what coming back to his community means to him. In this episode I wanted to take the time to speak about the lives we lost in 2020, our familias, our abuelos y abuelas, our amigos y amigas, and our Latinx leaders that made a difference in our comunidades. We also talk about the rioters and the insurrectionists that stormed the capitol, and how had it been black and brown folks, there would have been more violence towards our people. Lastly, we talk about the lack of vaccinations for our Latinx comunidades and how it has impacted nuestra gente.

In this episode, we talk about the choices for secretary of state, Alex Padilla, and secretary of education, Miguel Cardona. We look at their impact in their careers, and how latinx representation is needed as secretary of state (first time in California history) and a new head for the secretary of education, as a latino, and a man that worked for public school district for many years and led the school district during this pandemic.
