As we begin 2026 it seems the perfect time to give some serious thought to our priorities.
Isn’t it interesting that history is divided into BC and AD? I’m sure we all know that AD is an abbreviated form of the Latin “Anno Domini” which translates “year of the Lord”.
So since this is the beginning of the “year of the Lord”, it seems appropriate to determine His priorities for those of us who are followers of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Instead of making our own New Year’s resolutions, let us just make His priority our resolution for 2026 AD.

New seasons are such a gift from the Lord. I think it’s arguable that even the ends of good seasons make those seasons all the more precious. The advent of new seasons create a hopefulness for those walking through difficult seasons. The fact that life isn’t one long day is hopeful for a broken humanity.
And yet…there’s a very biblical way of thinking about the dawning of new day, week, and yes…year!
