The guest of the fourth episode is Mark Linder. Mark is co-founder of both N2 Comms, remembered for campaigning for a Tesla gigafactory in Vaasa and against early children’s smartphone use. More recently he co-founded Amöl Projects to improve the communication of deep technologies  

More relevant to this podcast for the past year Mark has been contracted to and working in Neom, the ambitious megaproject aiming to create a new economic and residential zone in Northwest Saudi Arabia. Mark’s role was to frame the project to increase international involvement from the construction industry.

Mark has a background in infrastructure stakeholder positioning and engagement. He has worked in onshore natural gas in the UK (suspended indefinitely) with the Venezuelan national oil company PDVSA (production has declined mercilessly), with the development of tidal lagoons on the west coast of the UK (labelled a green white elephant). He is closely involved in Finland’s TAKT movement, the (long overdue)application of Lean production methods to construction. Mark is also an active partner at the Architectural Democracy group.

The guest of the third episode is Aarni Heiskanen, a Construction Innovation Agent and the Managing Partner at AE Partners. Aarni has a masters degree in architecture, and worked as an architect and architectural R&D manager for over a decade. Gradually, he grew more and more interested in innovative business development.

He became an internet entrepreneur and, later on, a certified management consultant (CMC).

Today, he is the co-owner of AE Partners, an AEC innovation agency. He has authored business books, including The Management Consulting Blueprint, and written articles for local and international publications, e.g. ISACA Journal and Global Construction Review.

The guest of the second episode is Panu Lehtovuori, a Professor of Planning Theory at the Tampere University, School of Architecture. Before the current position, he was the Professor of Urban Studies at the Estonian Academy of Arts in Tallinn. Lehtovuori’s research interests focus on contemporary forms of public urban space, new urban design approaches, the resource-efficiency of the built environment and the evolution of planning law. Lehtovuori belongs to the Tampere Urban Studies Network TURN and is co-leader of the Urban Planning Research Group. Besides his academic and educational work, Lehtovuori is active in Livady Architects, SPIN UNIT and Nordic Urbanism. Currently, he is a permanent expert in the renewal process of the Land Use and Building Act.
