Roger Tyrrell has been Tim's mentor since college some 25 years ago and until only recently a senior lecturer at the University of Portsmouth. Roger is a prominent academic who has played diverse leadership roles and demonstrated a commitment to exploring architecture through a phenomenological lens. He has influenced many talented architects and creatives. Recognising a gap between academia and creative practice, he also founded Plato's Chora Limited (CHORA) in 2017. Roger's recent focus involves researching Jørn Utzon's work and design methodology, leading to international collaborations. Roger is also an author, with his book 'Aalto Utzon Fehn: Three Paradigms of Phenomenological Architecture' published in 2018.
