We do have to be ready to receive messages before they can come through, but I have a strategy for getting there that also builds the belief that the messages are real and being deliberately sent by your loved one on the other side. When I speak of building belief, what I really mean is overcoming disbelief. In many societies we are taught that it isn’t possible to communicate with loved ones on the other side. I know beyond any doubt that we can.

Grief is a brutal emotion that brings up a lot of other emotions. But, today I want to focus on the LOVE part of grief. If we didn’t love the person we lost, we wouldn’t feel grief at all. And, while we may focus on a number of negative emotions that are entwined with grief, our loved one on the other side is not doing that. They are living in pure love and oneness. They are sending us love at all times. And, It’s this, the love part of grief that has helped me survive it. soultosoulwebinar.com

Acknowledging that our loved ones still exist is part of the process for communicating with them to renew our relationship. And, we can still be in relationship with them because we still belong to each other. We are divine, spiritual beings. We knew our loved ones long before we came to this incarnation and we will know them long after.

My journey over the last 9 years has led me to a place that has completely transformed my experience of grief and how I want to live the rest of my life. Grief is an emotion, grieving is an action, an active process. We need to do both after we experience a loss, but today I want to talk about allowing ourselves to feel the grief and still move beyond the active “all in” grieving process. There is a time when it’s ok to do so, and when we do, when we make that conscious decision, we can begin to look at what kind of life we can live going forward. We can look at what our legacy will be. For many people, myself included, allowing the emotion of grief actually becomes a healthy and honoring emotion, once we let go of the active grieving process. The kind of grieving that keeps us in a devastated state, often for years as was the case for me. And I assure you, letting go of the active grieving process is not the same as “getting over” our loss. We don’t “get over it”, we simply learn to move forward and how to be ok with living. I see so many people stop living. I did too, so I understand it. But, I also understand moving beyond the devastation to the creation. Death does not end our relationship.

I believe our loved ones on the other side should still be included in our holidays. Afterall, they are still present! They know what's going on in your daily life and how you're doing during the holidays. Include them in the celebrations to help you feel more connected to them.
