This recording was done in my friend's basement in Minot, North Dakota. I had freshly graduated from my undergraduate music degree. In time, I was about to find out (while studying early music) that I needed to write cello music! This recording, named Shigionoth is in four parts, essentially four complete, but out of context sketches in my composition book. This was a proto-attempt at discovering how different but related ideas could work together. The music in these ideas would later become two different works - Lullaby (2009) and Stars of Twilight (2010). (I added a little processing, to even the volume and make the transitions as smooth as possible). Enjoy!
