Kyrie I is the first composition in a set of upcoming works. They will form a Liturgy - Miserere, Agnus Dei and Benedictus.

Mettarë/Yestarë, means "Last Day/First Day" in the Quenya language (from J.R.R. Tolkien's Middle Earth). The title is in reference to a unique two-day period in the Elvish calendar year which occurs immediately after the final season of the year, coirë (or 'the stirring or awakening'), and before the first season of the year, tuilë, or Spring. It's as if everything is hushed and holding its breath and waiting...

This MIDI track describes what the Elves call "coire" - the stirring. It is a season in between Winter and Spring and is when the snow begins to melt, the warm South Wind starts caressing, the water begins to trickle and the animals awake.
