In this episode, I explain what a birth plan is, why it is important and some important tidbits to think through while creating your birth plan. I hope you are able to learn from my experience and mistakes! The birth plan is a very effective tool to help ease the nerves of momma and that in itself makes it worth it. I mention 6 tips when going about creating your birth plan; just in case you weren't able to write them all down, here is a list of the tips below!

6 Tips:
1) Make it a priority to discuss with your OB, midwife and/or doula -- don't wait until your last few weeks to think about or discuss.
2) Think through multiple scenarios... have at least one backup plan.
3) There is a such thing as a too detailed birth plan... don't be so rigid.
4) Be flexible!
5) Make sure you have a medical power of attorney on file.
6) No matter how your baby is delivered, it is both a miracle and a blessing and nothing can take that away from you!
