A year ago, many people sat comfortably in their churches and thought that all was well in the world. After all, we live in a free country, and we have the freedom to worship or the freedom to not worship. We can attend any church we like without the government saying otherwise. Many churches were caught off guard when our nation was hit hard by the coronavirus. In a matter of weeks, churches were being urged to close their doors to flatten the curve. Over time these measures increased and seemingly became more arbitrary and often vindictive to houses of worship. With the stoke of a pen, many churches were forced to give up their freedom.
