Our Old Testament characters series now has a name - the Extraordinary Series. 

All of us have times when we wonder if running away is the best option, and if not possible hide under the duvet.  All of us have had to seek forgiveness from loved ones and experienced grace.  Today we explore Extraordinary Grace with the help of our reluctant, grumpy prophet Jonah.  So Karen shares with us some of his story but I do encourage you to read Jonah right through.  Its only 4 chapters and a worthy read.  He is a character many of us can relate too even if we don't want to admit it. I love Jonah. And at times I am definitely like him. 

We do have a text from Ephesians that reminds us that we experience Grace through Jesus Christ - a gift we are given not something we work for. We had Holy Communion in the service as a physical act of remembrance.
