Weâve moved around the country a bit but weâre making a stop in Maryland this week to tap in with one of the DMVâs most talented players! This outstanding hooper played his high school basketball at Benjamin Franklin HS in Baltimore, Maryland! Making a name for himself with his athleticism and extreme shooting ability, this sharp shooter obtained a basketball scholarship to attend and play at Post University in Waterbury, CT! Adversity quickly crept in as he was demoted to play on the teamâs JV squad! Facing this challenge head on, he shined and showed he belonged on the big stage! Early on he was an extreme spark off the bench as the 6th man for the Eagles his freshmen season! He led the team shooting 37% from 3 averaging 8 pts and 4 rebounds per game! As a junior he became a full time starter and one of the leaders of the team! Upping his scoring output to 15 points per game, this killer had his coming out party going for 42 points in a win over Felician University! Being recognized as an All-CACC honorable mention member, he finished his collegiate career scoring 1,315 points going down as one of the special talents to come out of Post University! The people have been asking for this former player and we were able to connect with him and get him on the show! A quick, explosive lefty guard this outstanding hooper is a native of St. Albans, Queens! Playing 4 years of varsity basketball at Cardozo High School for the legendary Ron Naclerio, this brother quickly made a name for himself around the city for his finishing ability and uncanny jumpshot! As a junior, he was apart of a legendary Dozo team and helped lead them to the 2004 PSAL City Championship game played at Madison Square Garden where they faced off against Sebastian Telfair and the Lincoln Railsplitters! Receiving honorable mention on the All-City team that season, he followed that season up with averaging 28 points a game as senior! He was named PSAL Queens Player Of The Year by the Times Ledger along with being named 1st Team All-PSAL by the New York Post! Capping off a stellar high school career, he garnered a full scholarship to play Division 1 basketball at Hofstra University! I used to come outside as a teenager during the summertime in the early 2000âs and watch this brother run the streets of Cambria Heights, Queens training for the upcoming basketball season! A native of Queens, NY this outstanding hooper spent his high school basketball career playing at Cardozo High School for the legendary coach Ron Naclerio! A 3 year starter, as a senior he averaged 15 points and 14 rebounds a game while leading his team to the City Championship in 2004 where they faced the highly touted Abraham Lincoln High School in Madison Square Garden! He was named Queens Player Of The Year and 2nd team All-City! A quick stop at Northfield Mt. Hermon Prep School where he was ranked on the national prep player Top-75 list, he went on to garner a Division 1 scholarship to play at Loyola College in Maryland! Things didnât quite work out there so this outstanding hooper transferred back home to Adelphi University where he shined and was a key component to that team for the next 3 seasons! Currently this basketball lifer continues to give back to the game as he is a referee and the founder of a youth basketball organization âSky Is The Limit Basketballâ! We have a Coney Island great tapping in to bring us his amazing journey! A graduate of Brooklyn Academy in 2010, this outstanding hooper averaged 26 points, 10 rebounds, and 2 assists per game while garnering the teamâs MVP award! Honing his skills and coming into his own, this basketball lifer spent his freshman year of college hooping at Mohawk Valley Community College where he led the team in field goal percentage and averaged a team high 16.5 points per game! A quick stop at South Plains College before he garnered a Division 1 scholarship to play at Florida International University! At FIU, he destroyed the competition in the Sun Belt Conference/Conference USA! As a Panther, he led his team in scoring and was also named 1st team All-Conference and 1st team All-Region. Culminating a tremendous career at FIU, this brother was drafted into the NBA G-League however took an opportunity to play overseas in China, Egypt, and Japan! Learned and a lot and had the opportunity to connect with some great ball players but even better people! Weâre starting season 2 off with a bang! As yâall know Iâm down here in Houston and becoming very familiar with the basketball culture here! We have a Houston great joining us! This outstanding hooper is a Houston, TX native by way of Mississippi! While at Mayde Creek High School, she averaged 23 points, 8 rebounds, and four assists per game being named district MVP and an all star in 2011! Her senior season capped off a great career as she was named team MVP 3 years in a row(2009, 2010, 2011) and named All-State back to back years(2010 and 2011). Before starting her division 1 journey, this baller made a stop at powerhouse JUCO Blinn College where she averaged 12 points and 3 rebounds! This relentless hooper went on to garner a division 1 scholarship to attend her hometown Texas Southern University where she shined being named SWAC Player of the Year and All-SWAC 1st Team in 2014! Graduating from TSU in 2016 she went on to play professionally in Portugal and Sweden. So many unique stories filled with ups and downs! So many instances of true perseverance have been displayed! We have our season finale episode and why not wrap up an amazing season with another amazing player! This outstanding hooper was born and raised in Pennsylvania, specifically the Poconos area! Her journey starts at Pocono Mountain West High School where she was a three year captain and also finished her high school career scoring 1,000 points! After garnering all-conference honors and being named conference player of the year, this 2007 graduate went on to receive a scholarship to play at New Jersey Institute Of Technology! Spending two seasons there, she transferred and found a home at American International College in Springfield, MA! Leading that team with her supreme point guard skills, this hooper was the starting point guard for the next 2 seasons as she was rewarded for her outstanding play her senior season by being selected 3rd team all-Northeast 10! Leading the team in points and assists, she was able to continue following her dreams by playing professionally for Aguas Buenas womenâs basketball team in Puerto Rico! Currently this basketball lifer continues to give back to the game as she is the Head Womenâs basketball coach at Pocono Mountain East High School and the Co-founder of iCrack Skills(a skills and development training program for the youth). A native of North Charleston, South Carolina this outstanding hooper spent his high school career at Charleston Collegiate where he made a name for himself as a tough guard. Graduating from there, he went on to play JUCO ball at Demark Tech and Moravian Prep. Unfortunately those two stops didnât work out but he was blessed with the opportunity to play at Morris College in Sumter, South Carolina. Persevering through the madness, this resilient brother was able to obtain his bachelors degree from Morris College! Taking a chance at the opportunity to play semi-pro ball, he went on to shine for the Perseverance Panthers of the ABA(American Basketball Association). His excellent play there landed him his first professional basketball contract to play in one of Mexicoâs top professional basketball leagues and play for Guerros Chatinos De Yaitepec Oaxaca! Hailing from Brooklyn, NY, this outstanding hooper spent his high school career at Sheepshead Bay High School where he made a name for himself after averaging 27.5 points a game and 10 assists as a senior! In 1990 he was apart of one of the most historic classes in NYC high school basketball history! After tearing up the PSAL, this hooper went on to play briefly at Clarion University in Pennsylvania before finding a home at St. Leo University in the sunshine state! At St. Leoâs he went on to become one of the greatest players in school history! Holding the record for all time assist and steals, this baller led the Sunshine State Conference in assist 3 straight seasons! After a Hall Of Fame collegiate career, this brother has gone on to influence his community to a greater level as he continues to teach, coach, train, and pour knowledge into the youth!
