The word strive has many meanings. We strive against sin and temptation. We strive for righteousness or spiritual maturity. It takes dedication and perseverance. I'm dropping this on Podcast Day..

Sometimes we need encouragement and we can look to promises of God to get this. We can look at what God has done for us and know that He is unchanging and will come through for us.

Since the beginning, we have had sin. There were sacrifices in the Old Testament and shedding of blood. Jesus came and shed His blood so that we can repent and be forgiven. We must do this as believers.

Throughout the Old and New Testaments, the first and most important law or rule is about our relationship with God. Are we putting God first? Let's get the distractions out of the way and get closer to Him.

Faith is an attitude of trust that comes through our obedience to God. In our relationship with God, He is always faithful. We often fail to be faithful to God or even to each other. Let's look at this...

Remember that the only reason we can stand unashamed is not because we're worthy but because of His mercy. We are saved by God's grace alone. There is nothing we can do to merit such favor.

Today I'm looking at  Psalms 33, 66 and 130. These psalms were praising God. Let's remember when we offer praise to God, we are reminded of what he does for us. This is also a way for the lost to learn of His goodness.

Paul and Silas were misunderstood and got beaten and thrown into jail. They were not griping and complaining, they were praising God. Lets remember that this kind of praise moves God.

Have you had life changing decisions or career path questions? God has an opinion in the matter and He has a definite plan. He IS interested in your life and He would like to lead you in your decisions.

Our body, soul and spirit work together to help us live and react to the world. To help our eternal soul go to heaven when we die, we need to live a disciplined life that leads to a Spirit-led life.
