We live in a world where doing never stops.
Emails, notifications, content creation, client delivery, AI tools - it’s constant. And recently I’ve been noticing something: the line between thinking and doing has become blurred.
In this episode, I explore the difference between strategic thinking and reactive doing and why combining the two might be diluting both.
I talk about:
Why responding quickly isn’t the same as thinking deeply
Whether social media and AI are encouraging reaction over reflection
The tension between productivity and utilisation
Why solopreneurs struggle to separate strategy from execution
How constant context-switching affects clarity and decision-making
I share reflections from my own experience in leadership, consulting, and running a business and why separating thinking from doing might be one of the most important shifts we can make.
Thinking and doing require different energy. Different pace. Different intention. When we blur them together, we dilute both.
Thinking deserves space. Doing deserves focus. And recognising and acting upon the distinction between the two might change everything.
