St.Paul is borrowing a familiar picture from the sporting event every three years on the Corinthian Isthmus. Why does he do that? Why learn a lesson from a worldly event. These were more famous than Olympics during Paul's time. Good always stands apart from anywhere we throw it. So borrows from it to drive home how we ought to run in our daily lives.
