Eyes of Saul, sees Jesus as an imposter, blasphemer, untrustworthy and Gentiles as not equals, destined to hell etc. Eyes of Paul need the scales to fall off. Those eyes have to be transformed and raised with new light in them to see Gentiles as equals, lost from eternal life, in whom image of God has to be restored. To know that God has chosen you, to know His will, to see his glory, hear his voice and to be witnesses of what you heard and seen is to have eyes of Paul.

St.Paul's likes and desires are in synch with the will of God. He desired to go to Jerusalem and other times he wanted to go to Rome. He just didn't want to do things.
