The Lord has sworn with an uplifted hand, that He will fight with Amalek from generation to generation. That is because they attacked Israel from behind those who were lagging behind and killed them. Hired Baalam to curse them. Since they lifted up their hand against His throne, they got back what they have sown. In the battle against Amalek, Moses only had to lift his rod up on the moutain, and Joshua was to fight them down and as it was prolonged, Mosed needed to be supported by Aaron and Hur. To celebrate the victory , Moses built an altar and named it "Yahweh is my banner". It resulted in a great testimony.

People of Israel had a very short time memory. They forgot all the miracles in the past. When the thirst hit them they forgot the past and questioned is the Lord among us or not? They murmured, quarrelled with Moses. Where they failed Jesus passed with flying colours. He obeyed the Lord the father.

Israel has come out of Egypt hardly 4 weeks ago, they have forgotten all the miracles, now they are grumbling about lack of food. They were saying if only we died by the Lord's hand while still in Egypt: what they are actually saying is they wanted to live a life without any reference to God forgetting all the miracles. Later we see Jesus claiming that He is the bread that came down from heaven.

What does the Red sea mean in human experience?

It stands for a situation with an insurmountable obstacle in front of you and invincible,

unbeatable enemy behind you and no way out. Then, God makes a way which was not

existing before, which never entered a human brain. No eye has seen, no ear heard such

are the things kept in store for all of us who believe in Jesus Christ.

Samson was delivering Israel for twenty years, the author of Judges summarised in the last verse of chapter 15. He does the same at the end of chapter 16 again. What he means is that Samson's life has ended. In chapter 16 we see his sins catching up with him. This episode with the the prostitute in Gaza is the last he escaped without much consequences. Next with Delilah proved fatal, leading to blindness and death of more than 3000 Philistines and himself. We need to focus on Jesus Christ who carried the cross up Jerusalem hill "Golgotha" but with different results. Let us see who did better!

Jesus joined two of the disciples who were walking to Emmaus. They were confused, discouraged, shattered, hopeless. But when he broke the bread and gave to them, their eyes were opened to recognise Jesus. Please join for the communion after the message and be blessed!

The whole chapter of Isaiah 53 is an amazing description of Jesus life before crucifixion, during crucifixion and after... the disciples and the apostles as they kept pondering on Isaiah 53, they could come to no other conclusion that it is all about Jesus Christ. That is why it is the most quoted scripture in the New Testament, quoted directly and indirectly some 35 to 40 times.

Love and faithfulness are Christian foundation. The Parable of good Samaritan exemplifies the truth that Love moves towards the need. The encounter of the Samaritan woman with Jesus show us that love listens before it speaks and speaks grace before judgement!
