Erika and special guest Jeff share their Top 10 Sci-fi and Fantasy Books of the Pandemic! They claim to have different taste, but all of the books sound basically the same to Stephanie.  Speaking of Stephanie, she has read exactly one of the books on the list and she's super proud of herself. Listen in to find out which one it is!

We made it to 10 episodes! The sisters and special guest Tony head to the final frontier where Stephanie learns that the Star Trek universe is full of acronyms, putting a dog in a halloween costume does not an alien make, and that it's Mr. Spock, not Dr. Spock (that's someone else entirely). 

This episode is dedicated to our intern, Toby, who sadly went to doggie heaven over the summer. To be clear, Toby was a TERRIBLE intern, but he was the best shih tzu a girl (Erika) could ask for.  

"The Wheel of Time turns, and ages come and pass, leaving memories that become legend."  But podcasts are forever.  

In our upcoming The Wheel of Time episode, Erika teaches Stephanie about a new (to her) genre: High Fantasy!  Listen in as Erika lists other properties (yes, she taught Stephanie that word, too) that are also considered High Fantasy. And, yes, we somehow manage to end up talking about Doctor Who.

Stephanie and Erika list every '90s Internet site they could remember that foreshadowed today's social media.  They wonder whether Erika has left any detritus on the Internet, and what Stephanie thinks Friendster has to do with Jell-o shots (spoiler: not much).  We also game out what to do with Erika's comic book stash and float some ideas for what we should call the group of kiddos coming up behind Gen Z.  If you're middle-aged--or want to feel young!--this one is for you.

The Falcon is now Captain America, the Winter Soldier is no longer the Winter Soldier (nor is he cold), and Uncle Sam was only an uncle in the comic books.  What does all that mean?  Erika, like Clarissa, explains it all and Stephanie is obsessed with Bridgerton (no, that's not related... or is it?).

Erika and special guest Tina regale Stephanie with the tale of a bounty hunter who refuses to take off his hat and is confused when people double cross him. Also, Baby Yoda! Baby Yoda! Baby Yoda!

Since Episode 7 was brought to you by 42, the sisters decided to figure out how six stories, a TV series, several movies, a radio play and a text adventure all add up to a trilogy.

Stephanie watched a few episodes of the mockumentary What We Do In The Shadows for this episode, but it turns out that Erika picked the topic as an elaborate ruse to share her VERY strong feelings about vampires of all kinds--the scary, the sexy, the sparkly, and the just plain boring.  Stephanie learns that The Count is a vampire (wait, what...), What We Do In The Shadows somehow connects Spinal Tap, Schitt's Creek, and War of the Worlds, and there was a (very brief) time when Erika was concerned she was reading too many vampire books (thankfully, it passed).
