What goes into making a graphic novel? When Covid-19 hit and stopped the world as we knew it we went from collaborating in the same studio to being in lockdown for months in separate places. We had been planning to get an indie movie into production, but the pandemic put that all on hold. Instead, Arnold began working on the followup to our vampire horror story graphic novel, GirlFIEND, this time set in Paris, France. This new book took a very different approach from the first book, which was in the pulp crime fiction genre, and this time went for a more elegant coffee table book feel, eventually published as a hardbound book colored with a mix of real and digital watercolor.

The fugitive romance continues between Karina, a day-walking vampire, and Nick, a nocturnal mortal. Living out their storybook fantasy in Paris by day and hunting down criminals by night to feed Karinas hunger, Nick's moral line continues to be pushed to the limit. When Karina discovers her latest prey holds a dark criminal secret, it will put their immortal love-pact to the test when they attempt to rescue an innocent girl from a deadly underworld plot.
