This week we start our look at Mental health disorders vs the normal human emotional colds (see last week episode)
Too often I see people in therapy that think they are depressed when they are in a state of sadness and some are depressed when they think they are only sad.
In this episode, we look at the differences between being sad and clinical depression.
We explain the emotions and need for sadness and then we define the clinical level of depression.
Sadness and depression are not one and the same!
Next week we will look at the life impact of depression, treatment, and coping skills.
