Students Aren and Nate talk to the CEO and co-founder of MINT innovation Will Barker about his career and goal for the future. MINT innovation is a new company based in Auckland, New Zealand. MINT shreds up old e-waste and uses micro-organisms to extract valuable metals such as Gold and Copper. The process is entirely environmentally friendly and reduces labor-intensive mining in poorer countries like Peru. Although there are easier, cheaper methods such as burning the e-waste, MINTs method is more effective and doesn’t leave any carbon footprint whatsoever.
