In this third episode, two students Nyah and Soleil look into what the public thinks and knows about e-waste while also interviewing Blair Kippenberger about how recycling e-waste can create jobs for those who have mental and physical disabilities.

Students Aren and Nate talk to the CEO and co-founder of MINT innovation Will Barker about his career and goal for the future. MINT innovation is a new company based in Auckland, New Zealand. MINT shreds up old e-waste and uses micro-organisms to extract valuable metals such as Gold and Copper. The process is entirely environmentally friendly and reduces labor-intensive mining in poorer countries like Peru. Although there are easier, cheaper methods such as burning the e-waste, MINTs method is more effective and doesn’t leave any carbon footprint whatsoever.

For our first episode two students, Eloise and Savannah, interviewed Laurence who started Eday in New Zealand. They asked him why he started Eday and why it ended.
