David Bryan
David Bryan is an organisation development consultant, a coach, facilitator and trainer. He works across the voluntary and public sector on a variety of issues, from the cultural industries and governance, to collaborations, enterprise and organisation change. David's first venture was a bookshop in 1973 that specialised in Black literature and he went on to organise the first Black Book fair in the UK. He later became one of the first Black directors of an art and community centre – Brixton Village. He later developed – The Black Comedy Club, touring venues around the country, creating a market for others to develop. He produced theatre and music festivals at Greenwich Theatre, Commonwealth Institute and elsewhere. He set up a charity OnyxArt Foundation and as it's executive chair, produced 3 successive seasons of sold out performances of Black contemporary dance at the London South Bank Centre. He continues to be a consultant and became a member of the National Council of Arts Council England in 2012. He is a governor of Dunraven School; Chair of Oval House; Chair of Voluntary Arts and Chair of Serendipity.
