Dedicated to the Mother Goddess Durga, Argala Stotram is a powerful Chant, meant to praise the Devi Who has defeated and destroyed all the Asuras and Who as the protector, takes care of All Creation. It is part of the Devi Mahatmeeyam. It is a stotram which appeals to the Universal Mother to sustain us and bestow us with all Her bounty, to grant us good health and form, wealth and success, and guide us spiritually.

 It is powerful stotram which can rid us of all our negative influences and ill-will from the outside world as well as help us destroy the negative tendencies within us while enhancing our virtues. It can make us not just strong but also fearless.  This chant can be chanted by all as it is purely a prayer to the Mother, and chanting this stotram can bring peace of mind. May the Goddess bestow us with all Her Mercy !  The meaning of these verses are very beautiful. The meaning may seem simple and literal but there is much wisdom if we look a little deeper.  There are stories also and symbolism within the stories. Therefore, I have decided to slowly unfold the meanings as a series of episodes.
