  • Argyle's perfect week, a meeting with Derek Adams and Progress of Plymouth Parkway
It has been the perfect week for Plymouth Argyle with back-to-back wins over Grimsby Town and Macclesfield Town. Six points has seen them cement their place in League Two's top three and they now head to a clash against another former manager in Derek Adams and his Morecambe side.
Chris Errington joins host Stuart James top reflect on a fantastic seven days for the Pilgrims and we are also joined by Marjons student and Argyle fan Mike Parrish to discuss the city's other progressive football club, Plymouth Parkway.
Mike gives us the lowdown on life at Bolitho Park and we discuss the merits of how another club higher up the pyramid can be of great benefit to both teams. For information regarding your data privacy, visit acast.com/privacy

  • Five-year plans, return of Olly and life's a pitch at Bradford
This week's episode looks back on Plymouth Argyle's 2-1 League Two defeat at Bradford City where the Pilgrims ended the game with just nine men.
It was a miracle the game was even on due to the atrocious weather and state of the Valley Parade pitch, but in the Yorkshire mud, Argyle came up short against a Bantams side that needed the win to boost their own promotion aspirations.
Chris Errington joins host Stuart James to look back on the weekend's events and we also discuss Simon Hallett's 'Argyle philosophy' and five-year vision for the Pilgrims' future.
We also pay tribute to Lee Hobbs and his Plymouth Parkway team for their terrific run in this season's FA Vase, which sadly came to an end following a 2-0 defeat at Hebburn Town in the quarter-finals on Saturday. For information regarding your data privacy, visit acast.com/privacy

  • Rotation, recovery and the run-in... it's all getting serious for Plymouth Argyle
It has certainly been a busy few weeks for Plymouth Argyle with four games in two weeks and with no game until Saturday's trip to Bradford, the break offers Ryan Lowe and his players the chance to recharge ahead of another challenging run of games. On Saturday, perhaps a bit of fatigue was evident as the Pilgrims were held to a goalless draw by Cambridge United at Home Park.
Chris Erriungton and Jak Ball join host Stuart James to look back on that game, ahead to Bradford and we give our own take on the race for promotion from League Two, while Jak shoots down the argument made by Nathan Jones on Quest at the weekend that League Two is the hardest league to get out of. • A bad day at the office for Plymouth Argyle
It was a bad day for Plymouth Argyle as their promotion hopes took a blow as they were hammered 3-0 at Colchester United - and it could have been a lot worse for the below-par Pilgrims.
Three goals in the first half did the damage and the Essex side missed chances a plenty to win by a far bigger scoreline. So what went wrong?
Given Argyle were far from convincing in some other recent games, had it been coming? Or is it just a blip in the Pilgrims' charge towards an immediate return to League One?
Chris Errington and Jak Ball join host Stuart James to look back on Saturday's disappointment, but Argyle have an immediate chance to put things right when they head to Salford City on Tuesday night before another big game at home to Crewe Alexandra this weekend. • Moving on up, car crash football and Argyle maintain their unbeaten run
After the visit of football royalty, and former Premier League and Plymouth Argyle boss, Neil Warnock, to Herald Towers for a podcast last week, it was just Jak Ball and Chris Errington that sat down for this week's show to reflect on the past seven days for Argyle.
It hasn't been a bad week either with the Pilgrims moving into the automatic promotion places with four points form six following back-to-back home games against Crawley Town and Newport County, which yielded four points from six.
Jak and Chris reflect on the past week and the direction in which Argyle's season is going.
They also look ahead to Saturday's clash with Colchester United, another team in excellent form, that are sure to have a big say in the League Two promotion race. For information regarding your data privacy, visit acast.com/privacy

  • Neil Warnock on Argyle now and in 1996 and his 50 years in management
Argyle Chat were blessed by Football Royalty this week as we welcomed legendary football manager Neil Warnock onto the show.
Warnock gave his typically forthright views on Argyle now and when he was in charge and why he feels they are better equipped than ever to charge through the leagues and make a push for Premier League football in the near future.
He also reflects on his time in charge at Home Park, what it was really like to work with Dan McCauley and what he has been up to since leaving Cardiff City last season.
Warnock also gave our 20 questions quiz a crack, so sit back and enjoy 45 minutes with one of the game's most colourful characters. For information regarding your data privacy, visit acast.com/privacy

  • Argyle winning ugly' the brilliant Alex Palmer and defending FA Cup replays
Plymouth Argyle were far from their fluent best in beating Mansfield Town on Saturday, but they did enough to see off Mansfield Town on the return of Graham Coughlan to Home Park at the weekend.
Chris Errington and Jak Ball join host Stuart James in looking back on the victory where the Pilgrims closed the gap on League Two leaders Swindon Town following their surprise defeat at Newport County.
We also discuss the excellent form of goalkeeper Alex Palmer and answer your questions, before Jak goes on a rant and defends FA Cup replays, which led to a Twitter 'spat' with Gary Lineker, of all people! For information regarding your data privacy, visit acast.com/privacy

  • Goal Machines, new signings and exciting times for Plymouth Argyle
This is turning into a season to remember for Plymouth Argyle, who extended their recent fine run with a convincing 3-0 win at Carlisle United on Saturday.
'He's one of our own' sang the Green Army as 'that boy' Luke Jephcott added another brace to the one he got at Scunthorpe United seven days earlier, which led to Ryan Lowe calling him his 'Goal Machine!'
We discuss Jephcott's impact and whether he has the attributes to go far and ask whether Ryan Lowe has finally got his chance converters after a goalscoring debut from fellow frontman Ryan Hardie. Or will he look to do further business this January?
We look ahead to the return of Graham Coughlan to Home Park on Saturday (for what feels like the tenth time this season) and the clash with Mansfield Town. For information regarding your data privacy, visit acast.com/privacy

  • A happy Christmas and a potentially great new year for Argyle
A Happy new Year to all our listeners and it has been a good start to 2020 for Plymouth Argyle as well following the 3-1 win at Scunthorpe United, which ended a pretty productive festive period.
After the disappointment of the postponed game at Macclesfield, Argyle went on to beat Cheltenham Town on Boxing Day and then Stevenage thanks to a stoppage time goal from Niall Canavan,
A 2-1 defeat in front of the newly-opened Mayflower Stand kicked off the New Year, but normal service was resumed when Ryan Lowe's men won at Scunthorpe with two goals from Luke Jephcott, who had returned from a loan spell at Truro City.
We look back on that festive period and ahead to January when the transfer window opens and Argyle have already concluded one piece of business with Tyreeq Bakinson arriving on loan from Bristol City. But who will follow? For information regarding your data privacy, visit acast.com/privacy
