Quite frankly, we’re too tired for existential, philosophical pondering of emergency medicine. Maybe next month. This month, we sit down with our Toxicologists to discuss how to work up that weird patient that isn’t quite “neuro,” isn’t quite “psych” and might be “tox.” We finally answer a listener request and discuss documentation of the neuro exam with Dr. Al Fiorello. Happy February from AZEMCast. It's time one again for the Residency In Training Exam and we have combined forces with Brian to work with and not against him. We tried to cover some of the common topics, common traps and common issues that show up on your exam. Believe it or not, but September is supposed to be the start of fall and it's pushing 100 degrees here in Tucson. This month's AZEMCast is equally hot as we discuss a weak and dizzy patient harboring badness, the use of steroids in low back pain and the philosophy of risk in the ED. Be certain to listen all the way to the end.
