I had a great time visiting with Nate in this episode. Nate brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the podcast. We visited about dark money in Arkansas politics, and how politicians like Scott Flippo get recruited as puppets into the legislature. We spoke about Arkansas super PACS and pick on both of our major political parties while examining the decline of principled Republicans in the Arkansas General Assembly.

I was very happy to get Vincent Anderson on the show to talk about his campaign. Vincent is running for JP of Baxter county in district 10. A lot of folks are unfamiliar with how local government and local spending work and learning more about the justice of the peace role, is a great place to start.

In episode 03 of the Arkansas Independents Podcast, we met with guest Melissa Fults. Melissa and her husband have been very influential in voter-driven marijuana legislation in the state of Arkansas. In this episode, we talk about the history of marijuana legislation in the state, flaws in the current plan, and current initiatives to expand Arkansas’s marijuana laws and allocate associated taxes responsibly.
